EU Regional Trust Fund, Lebanon, 2023, Social Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Change

The objective of this project was to develop a supportive legal framework for social entrepreneurship in Lebanon, addressing socio-economic crises and promoting inclusive growth. The methodology involved comprehensive research, stakeholder engagement, legal drafting, and compliance analysis.

During the research phase, a focused literature review, interviews, and consultations were conducted with stakeholders to gather insights and best practices. Additionally, a comparative analysis of social entrepreneurship laws in similar contexts was carried out.

Collaborative workshops were organized to gather stakeholder input for drafting the proposed law, and continuous feedback loops ensured clarity, coherence, and alignment with existing regulations. Legal analysis was performed to assess compliance and propose necessary amendments.

Stakeholder engagement activities included the development of a communication plan, presentations, and meetings with government officials, legal experts, and social entrepreneurship organizations. Promptly addressing stakeholder concerns was a priority.

The project concluded by finalizing the draft law, preparing a summary document outlining key provisions, and ensuring all necessary documentation was ready for submission or review.

By following this methodology, a comprehensive and inclusive social entrepreneurship law was developed, making a significant contribution to Lebanon's social and economic development.
